Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions families ask when planning a memorial.

How do we begin selecting a memorial?

Most families start with a conversation. We'll ask about the cemetery, the person being remembered, and what feels meaningful to your family, then walk through material, shape, and design options that fit those needs.

What information should we bring to a consultation?

Please know the cemetery, lot number, and section where the memorial will be placed. If you're ordering an additional inscription, it helps to check how the existing dates are written on the monument, since we'll match that formatting. Any inspiration such as photos, wording, or symbols you'd like to include is also helpful.

How long does the memorial process take?

Timelines vary based on design complexity, granite availability, engraving detail, and the cemetery's own scheduling requirements. We'll walk you through what to expect for your specific memorial once details are finalized.

What memorial types are available?

We work with upright monuments, flat and slant markers, bevel markers, companion memorials, benches, mausoleums, veterans memorials, cremation memorials, and fully custom designs.

Can an inscription be added to an existing monument?

In many cases, yes. Additional names, dates, or verses can often be added to an existing memorial. We'll review the stone and the cemetery's requirements to confirm what's possible.

Can an older memorial be cleaned or restored?

Many memorials can be cleaned or restored to improve their appearance, depending on the stone type, age, and condition. We evaluate each memorial individually before recommending an approach.

Do cemeteries have different memorial regulations?

Yes. Cemeteries commonly set their own rules for memorial size, material, foundation requirements, and installation timing. We help you navigate your specific cemetery's requirements as part of the design process.

What granite colors are available?

We work with a variety of granite colors, including grey, pink, mahogany, and black. We'll show you samples in our showroom and help you choose one suited to your design.

Can we personalize a memorial?

Personalization is central to what we do. Lettering styles, etchings, emblems, borders, vases, and shapes can all be tailored to reflect the person being remembered, within the cemetery's guidelines.

Do you provide installation?

Yes, installation is part of our process and is coordinated with the cemetery to meet their specific foundation and placement requirements.

What affects the price of a memorial?

Cost is influenced by factors such as granite type, size, design complexity, lettering and etching detail, and cemetery requirements. We'll provide a clear quote once we understand your family's preferences.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve families in West Springfield, Springfield, Agawam, Chicopee, Holyoke, Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, Westfield, and surrounding Western Massachusetts communities.
